Our Key Staff :

Managing Director – Shane Robinson
Shane has been involved in the Pay Per Click industry since just AdWords launched in the UK in September 2001, he’s spent millions of pounds of his own money on clicks from Google, Yahoo and MSN (now Bing), Miva and Mirago (both many moons ago!) thus honing his PPC knowledge and skills and forming the PPC management service offered by Targeted Media. In 2004 when Google launched it’s Advertising Professionals program; he was the first person worldwide to take and pass the exam. He enjoys being able to bring clients into Targeted Media for the search team to reduce the cost per sale whilst increasing sale volumes etc. in short he loves to make long term mutually beneficial client relationships work!

Shane is a keen scuba diver in the summer and enjoys snowboarding in winter which ties in nicely with his zest for world travel and love of food, culture and fine vodka! his personal observations on life can be found at shane.me

Operations Director – Cathal Saunders
Cathal (pronounced like alcohol without the “al”) has over 13 years sales and marketing experience with strong links to Financial Services, and has been involved in the project planning and launch of multiple products and campaigns for both SME and blue chip companies. He prefers people to technology which is perfect when it comes to producing strategies that genuinely help businesses who do not come from an advertising and marketing background. In addition to this his remit is to help businesses identify opportunities to improve their PPC campaigns and increase business revenue, which gives him much more satisfaction than a well designed spread sheet!

On a personal note Cathal is a frustrated writer and still harbours dreams of world domination. He loves football and learning new things, but has real concerns with any food that comes from the sea. In the office he is known as the creative one of the group!

Head of Paid Search – Gareth Westhead
Gareth began his PPC career while studying at University and in the years since completing his studies he has worked on a diverse range of campaigns across numerous sectors from gifts to legal, holidays to finance and pretty much everything in between. He is constantly seeking out new ways to improve client campaigns, which makes him a great person to have around when it comes to our account reviews. Although fluent in technical speak, Gareth prefers to speak in plain English as he believes PPC works best when all parties understand how it works. Above all he enjoys taking money off the Search engines by slashing cost per sale to save our clients money.

Away from the office Gareth has a keen interest in military history and has visited landmarks across Europe. He is also a music lover with a very varied taste which includes everything from Mozart to Metallica.

Senior Account Manager – Simon Cooper
Simon came to us from a PPC Management agency background, he’s worked for some leading brands such as Mercedes, Volkswagen and Toyota and to be pretty blunt about it; Simon is a geek! He loves data, whilst most of the guys are checking out football results at lunchtime time he’s busy creating new formulas in excel or reading about new mobile phone operating systems. Having said that he’s a cool geek with comic wit to rival Bob Monkhouse, so the balance is restored, although his nickname is the Technical Terminator as he’s adept at making things do what he wants them to, even if they weren’t designed to do that!

Web and Graphic Designer – James Canter
James comes from a design agency background and is one of those annoyingly cool people with the ability to draw anything by hand and then make it look equally awesome in pixel format, He beavers away with that quiet ease found around confident, capable professionals. James takes care of client website redesigns as well as providing improved graphics for clients undergoing website optimisation testing.

Senior Software Engineer – Zeeshan Khalid
Zeeshan, Originally from Lahore in Pakistan is a rare gem in the software industry, he’s cool and not at all geeky! so no slide rules or one hour monologues on the advantages of Linux over Windows systems! etc.. He hides his BSC in computer science and MSC in software engineering under a chilled, calm exterior while building all of our software systems so we can more effectively manage accounts and reporting systems to maximise return on client spends, he’s also a keen cricket fan and plays in a local team in the summer.
